– Festive performance by The School at AIPA’s Showgroup
The evening will be hosted by AIPA’s Nicholas Burton & Imogen Howe.
Now in its seventh year, Carols in Willoughby Park is a family-friendly event that attracts up to 3,500 people each year. Featuring the Willoughby Symphony Choir and Willoughby Band performing all your favourite carols, there will even be a surprise visit from a special Christmas guest!
Residents are encouraged to bring along a picnic blanket and nibbles to this free event and there will also be a variety of food stalls available.

Some fantastic results from the 2013 NSW State Solos this year, with the Willoughby Quartet winning their section (Brian McGuiness, Mark Coleman, Jeff Ma, Gemma Ma) Jeff Ma coming in a very close 2nd in the Open Euphonium, Brian McGuiness coming 2nd in the Open Cornet, Heather Reid coming 3rd in the Open Flugel Horn, Luke Sandford winning the Open Baritone, Kelly McGuiness winning the Open French Horn, Liz Cooper winning the Junior (U/19) Cornet and Mark Coleman winning the Open Tenor Horn.
Mark then went on to win the Open Brass Champion of Champions! This is the third time Mark has won this prestigious event, congratulations Mark, and congratulations to all the soloist on the day.

Let Willoughby’s very own multi-award winning brass ensemble guide you through an afternoon of music, from the spiritual tranquility of the South, to the ‘brass-tissimo-tastic’ extravagance of the North that forms the very essence of the United States of America.
This concert features state and national champion soloists from the senior band, as well as reigning NSW champion Willoughby Youth Band under the leadership of Brian McGuinness.
